Wanted
Hi, everyone!
I am currently looking for someone to help and join me in the team. Please help if you are interested.
Available positions:
1. Japanese – English Translators
Good manga starts with a story. Likewise, good scanlation starts from translation.
I am looking for someone whose Japanese is his/her first language or one who is learning Japanese and confident to give it a try. Since most of the projects are based on the everyday-conversations, I don’t think it will be really hard to translate. He/she must also have a strong foundation in English, although one is not required to be an English native speaker.
Needed: 5 people (or more).
2. Chinese – English Translators
Requirements:
-) English as the second language.
Since we have good proofreaders, the applicants do not have to be a native speaker of English. However, they still need to have a good understanding in English. While advance grammar is not required, they still need to be able to read from their first language and translate it to a proper English.
Needed: 2 people.
3. Proofreaders
Must be one whose English is his/her first language or one whose English is not his/her first language, but is good and confident in grammar.
Needed: 2 people.
You can contact me at kaor1.chan (at) yahoo (dot) com

Hi!
RE: Translator
In my country, all Daichohen Doraemon already published (total 45 vol), and Doraemon Plus (currently 6 vol).
I can help you to translate into English if you would like.

Hi, IO.
Can you shoot me an email for this? It will make me easier to keep everything on track ^_^
And thanks for your availability, anyway.
Just want to correct you, actually, Daichohen Doraemon only has 24 volumes, while Doraemon Plus only has 5 volumes.
The one that has 45 volumes is Doraemon Main Story, and I don’t scanlate it, since another group has done it already. And the one that has 6 volumes, I’m not sure what that is, but I’m pretty sure that Doraemon Plus only has 5 volumes.

actually, I have thought of this again and I feel that I cannot make the commitment of working with translation every day for about an hour or two. Please erase my comment.

Hello..
I’d like to help with proof-reading (especially for the doraemon series)
English isn’t my native language, I’m not sure what the exact requirements are, but I think I’m not bad at english grammar.
(I was thinking of emailing, but then I wasn’t sure whether I’m good enough or not).

Hey, thank you for your interest, but the proofreader position is currently closed. Maybe I forgot to mention it, I’m sorry >_<

Oh now I see that it’s closed.
Haha, it’s okay. If it ever opens again, I’ll apply again. (Since that’s the only thing I can do I guess XD)

Hello. I’m interested in the japanese translator position (if it’s still open). I can translate the everyday-conversation types but my knowledge of kanji is quite limited. I’ve been studying japanese for about 4 years in school but I study independtly at home too.

Hi there
I’d like to apply for the translator position. I am a native Japanese speaker, so Kanji’s are fine. I don’t usually need furigana either (except for people names since there are really weird ones in manga). I did my undergrad, MS, and most of Ph.D. in N.America, so my English is as good as most native speakers. I am currently volunteering for another website translating manga (several chapters a month). Let me know if I could help out

Hey, thank you so much for your offer, but for now, we don’t need a typesetter =)
We’ll be sure to contact you if we need one, though. Thanks again!

Hi There!
I am interested to become a translator. Chinese (Traditional) is my native language and My English is not too shabby either (ie. I’ve been an English-speaker for 17 years). Please let me know if you need help translating Daichohen Doraemon. Thanks!

Hey, there. I’d love to accept you to our team if you really want to
It’s just that I don’t have the RAW for Chinese, so unless you have the manga itself, you can’t helped us translating. Looking forward to your answer, though. You know that we’ll always welcome you

Hi !
If you still need proofreaders, than I can help you with that. English is my second language, but I’ve lived in Canada and America for about 12 years, so my grammar is pretty good.

Hey, thank you so much for your offer, but we don’t need a proofreader for now. If you’re still interested in the future, I’ll be sure to contact you, though
Sorry for the misunderstanding. I forgot to remove the proofreader part on this page.
